Patricia L. Andel
Patricia L. Andel has 38 years of experience as an attorney. She is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law with The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. She received her Juris Doctor degree and graduated summa cum laude from Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, California in 1986. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, graduating magna cum laude in 1980.
Ms. Andel was formerly a full-time professor of law at Western State University College of Law in Fullerton, California, and an adjunct professor of law at Whittier Law School in Costa Mesa, California. She also taught bar review courses for Fleming's Fundamentals of Law in Orange County and San Diego County, California for over 20 years.
Ms. Andel has published several articles and has authored numerous course teaching materials. She is an active member of the State Bar of California and is admitted to practice in the California state courts, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Ms. Andel is a member of the Trusts and Estates Section of the State Bar of California, served as co-chair of the Trusts and Estates Section of the Bar Association of Northern San Diego County, and is a selected member of the Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning panel of the Lawyer Referral Service of the Bar Association of Northern San Diego County.
Ms. Andel has served as a judge pro tem for the traffic and small claims courts in both the South Orange County Superior Court and the North San Diego County Superior Court. She also has served as a legal advisor for various local health care organizations, including the Orange County Mental Health Association, Mission Community Hospital and Medical Center's Institutional Review Board, and Mission Community Hospital and Medical Center's Bioethics Committee.
Ms. Andel has engaged in numerous public speaking events, including television and radio appearances, and was selected as "Young Career Woman" by the California Federation of the Business and Professional Women's Organization. She regularly teaches courses to attorneys for mandatory continuing education credits.
